ABOUT ME
Hello there! My name is Brett, I am a cyber security professional. I have a Masters in Cyber Security from Liberty University. Along with this, I have several industry certifications including, OSCP, AZ-500, and SC-100. If you are curious about what these certifications entail, head over to the certifications page to dive deeper into them and see what they cover.
In the cyber security field, I'm particularly drawn to areas like cloud security, security engineering, pen testing, automation, and a bunch of other stuff.
Lately, I've been trying to improve my security engineering skills, and I figured a good way to do that would be to build a web site to get more exposure to different areas in engineering. This site, complete with a blogging app, was created using Django and is hosted on Azure infrastructure, all deployed via Pulumi Infrastructure as Code (IaC). I’m excited to share more about some projects that I've been working on and I’ll be posting a blog series about building this infrastructure with Pulumi soon. Keep an eye out for that!
The main goal of this website is to give me a platform to write about various projects I work on. I want to do this because writing helps me learn the material more. In the past, I’d often move on to the next task as soon as I got something to work without really understanding how I did it. By writing about my projects, I’m forcing myself to document and understand every detail of what I am working on. If you are interested in reading about some of these projects, head over to the blog page.
If you have any questions on any of the blog posts or you just want to get in contact with me, fill out the form in the contact page and send me a message.
